SHIMPO Transitions to the NIDEC Brand
NIDEC-SHIMPO CORPORATION – January 01, 2018
NIDEC acquired SHIMPO in the mid-1990’s. Our business gained more expertise in motor design and we were able to leverage NIDEC’s large volume motor manufacturing capabilities. Due to the advancement, the motors and drives systems for our pottery wheels have always outpaced the competition in terms of quality, performance, and overall value.
In 2018 NIDEC requested all product groups to be unified by including its name on all products and removing the familiar SHIMPO logo and pottery symbol. Look for the color green and NIDEC at major conferences and events.
